Ellen Kuwana has a MS in developmental neuroscience from the University of California San Francisco. She has more than 20 years of experience in basic, clinical, and translational research at large research institutes. She also was a communications specialist in bioethics for many years. She has expertise in writing and editing scientific journal manuscripts, grant proposals, annual reports, articles for younger audiences (e.g., Neuroscience for Kids). She has edited more than 350 articles for the Journal of Environmental Health. She’s open to talking to anyone who is interested in scicomms, but has a particular interest in helping those who are first-generation or from historically marginalized communities.
