Katherine Wiley has a PhD in anthropology. Katherine held a lot of jobs (waitress, reporter, nonprofit program manager, conference coordinator) before getting her PhD. She then had a faculty position teaching anthropology, gender studies, global studies, and writing. After receiving tenure, she decided to leave teaching to become an academic editor. She primarily works as a developmental editor in the humanities and social sciences, though she also has expanded her business to include writing coaching and leading writing groups. She’d be most interested in speaking with prospective editors who hope to work directly with faculty authors.
